How to get into your first Classmoji classroom as a student
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Your instructor adds you to a classroom using your school email. You don’t sign up for a class yourself, you just create your account and the invite is waiting for you.
Step 1: Sign in with Github
Section titled “Step 1: Sign in with Github”Go to app.classmoji.io and click Continue with Github. Classmoji uses Github for sign-in, so there’s no separate password to remember.
Step 2: Verify your school email
Section titled “Step 2: Verify your school email”Enter your school email and Classmoji sends you a 6-digit code. Type the code back in to verify it. The code is only valid for a few minutes, so check your inbox right away.
Then fill in your name and school ID. Your Github username is filled in for you.
Step 3: Land in your classroom
Section titled “Step 3: Land in your classroom”If your instructor already added you, the invite is matched to your school email (or the email on your Github account) automatically and you go straight to your classroom. If you signed up before being added, your classroom shows up as soon as your instructor adds you.
Accepting the Github invite
Section titled “Accepting the Github invite”The first time you open your classroom, Github sends you an invite to join the course’s Github organization. Accept it. You need to be in the organization to get access to your assignment repositories. Until you accept, your membership shows as Pending. Once you’re in, it becomes Active and your repos appear.
